Today I had to go into the city and the parking for a car is just crazy$$...so for the first time in about 20 years I took a ride on the subway....guess im really getting old  ..any how to my amazement an old sign is still on every nyc subway car....and It's the three things not to do on the train :w00t: I guess what i'm saying is that the boomer still has its special place in nyc

From what I hear, these days, obnoxiously high volume from smart phone speakers is the new thing to complain about on public transport.

Rock On.

I think that the MTA is either just to lazy to have those stickers redone or to darn cheap to do it.
Back in the day when those labels were fairly new I used to break all those rules.
Even dropped a few cubes on the ground.
A rebel I was.

I hate rules and i would blast a box in the ride anyway. The sound is way better than the smartphones :chris920:

It was only for 3 piece boomboxes. Single piece is FINE!
:w00t:

People who don't like boomboxes are very uncivilized people. I better stay away from those clowns. :w00t:

Kind and good hearted people love their family, pets and boomboxes. :-D

Here in Boston, we have no such restrictions (at least I don't think we do :hmmm: ).
We also do not have a true subway. We have the T. It goes underground sometimes.
(Pretty sure I heard that in a commercial some years ago.)

Boston?....Aron...I was there an year back. Even with a GPS it was so hard for me to find places when it was snowing. The road signs were so hard to read because of high snow banks. The tunnel ride to Logan was a good experience.

We always joke around about how difficult it must be for a tourist to fly into Logan, grab a rental, and hit the road.
Here are a few tips:
There are 3 Fellsways; one West, one East, and one Fellsway. They are all referred to as "The Fellsway."
Mystic Valley Pkwy. is everywhere, north of the city.
Main St. is everywhere, period.
The Expressway is just a name - it has nothing to do with time or speed.
Cambridge is NOT Boston.
In Arlington, Mass. Ave. Is Rte. 3, Rte. 3A, Rte. 2A, Rte. 60, and Rte. 225.
Turn signals are trouble. It's best not to use them, and don't trust anyone who does.

"Here are your keys. Good luck."

That is correct! I've been to most parts of US and and abroad... but I should say Boston is not easy especially in winter. They made the road signs too small....it seems like you need a ladder to go up and read it well...  Without a GPS....forget about it.... you won't get anywhere on time.

And you know what, that is WORSE! At least with a boombox, you can hear the music, even if you don't like it. cell phone speaker crackle destroys my nervous system and makes me want to KILL :jason:

Never been to Boston (where my grandfather was born  ) but Saint Paul and Minneapolis are horrible. Worst cities I have ever driven in.

Ph course, I grew up in Los Angeles, which is considered one of the worst, but how would I know????
