Seeing this thread again is motivation to replace the amp chips in mine. I have the chips and amp/heat sink grease. Just need to open it up and do it.

Chris did you end up doing this? I'm wondering if this is a common issue as mine has 1 side out too. I bought the schematics from norm so I suppose it would be doable to test the amp at least.

I got lucky with mine, it was in really good shape cosmetically, I just gave it a nice cleaning and it was good to go, good luck on your project bro

I have a RC-838JW and would like to upgrade the speakers if possible.

Can anyone recommend any good replacement midrange and tweeter speakers that can currently be purchased? Any links would be very appreciated.
