Took out the soldering station a few days ago. Had to make about 250 solder connections, so I would be soldering for a few hours. Over the roar of the soldering station fan which was drawing in smoke emitting from the burning rosin through the charcoal filter, I said out loud to myself, "Ah... the sweet smell of rosin..." 
T'was at this point, I looked back and had to do a double take at the 6 eyes staring at me.... and noses pinched, all three of them.... wife, older daughter, younger daughter. The eyes, unblinking, stopped right in their tracks and taking a pause from the television screen to look at me. The eyes. The pinched noses. And though no words were spoke, as loud as can be, I clearly heard "Dude, Dad, You are Weird! And that stuff stinks!"
I just smiled and went back to work. They just don't understand.
