Hi everyone-A while back got a Pioneer SK-95 for cheap.
It was really dirty and the deck didn't work and the treble knob is
busted.
Well after a 2nd. time opening her up I took it all apart as in taking the
cassette section out of it and putting a tape in so I could really see
what was going on.
With the deck section removed and the auto stops reset it now works
100%!!!
I cleaned and adjusted and made sure everything was freed up.
Sprayed compressed air and cleaned out some crap to!
I'm so happy!!
The more I play this the better it sounds!
I can tell this one sat for a while!
Love the lights on this.
It really paid off to be patient and stare at everything for a hour
and then work for an hour plus and really investigate what was
going on.
Basically things were bent in the beginning as 4 of the 5 keys the ends
were broken off.
The metal bar was even bent! :annoyed:
After getting key springs back in place and doing everything else
It's a go!
Just need to get a treble potentiometer and put that in with s knob
and this will be excellent.
Love fixing and restoring good quality boomboxes like this.
Have a great weekGB.
