Hi everyone,I have had my M-70C for like
3 years now and I finally got my tuner thing
fixed.
It would slide and only move 1 way.The pointer
was off the string Thingy.
Well it tool only 22 minutes to have the chassis
fully removed!
I cleaned up all the belts and pulleys with isopropyl
and lined up the pointer with the thing that goes
In there.
Well after 1.5 hours total time and that included
cleaning all switch caps and the top board,
It's all working and moving nice now!
It just is 1mhz. off though still.
I did match it up at the last place on the left where
It matched up with the pointer 88Mhz. but is still
off just by 1.
So at a station that is tuned into 96.9 actually reads
97.9 but this is not a biggy.
I'm sure I can figure it out next time I get onto it.
I'm proud of myself!
I actually was going to have Frank (Hemiguy)
fix this but it wasn't bad at all!!
These are quite easy to work on!!
Just like my 838,look for all the blue screws! :surf:
I'm liking this much more now as I did some cleaning
& detailing on her.
Looking & sounding excellent!!
Have a great week!! :-) :-D :surf:   :breakdance:

This C model really rocks!!
Take care!! :-)

Congrats Jeff well done.
The M70 can be quick and easy to work on if you know what screws to remove. ;-)
I agree. I love that the M70 only has two belts for the cassette too.
