You know...they are not "Hip" people at all.....stuffed shirts...and I really can't use the "well, they are older than me" thing, because there are plenty of guys on this site that are the same age....
So, my MALE BRAIN equates it as....."My wife is hot and they are probably hitting on her all day at work and getting no where" so they hate my collection, hate my car and hate ME

I can proudly say that I have been in that Boom Room to witness that sound. My ears are still ringing from that experience. Super awesome. Chris, it was such a treat to finally meet You in person 
and Your wife is the coolest to tolerate Us silly Boomboxery members. I can't wait for another trip down there. I believe I will be heading to So.Cal again in August. I'll let You know.

Very awesome.
I like it when people who don't get it see my modest collection.
Their first comment is something like, "Oh, you collect ghettoblasters. That's kinda strange."
Their next comment is usually something like, "Where can I pick one up?"
That's is just unreal man! Is there a good amount of bass going on in there? Would really like to experience the cumulative effect of all the different models! Looks and IS cool as f**k, literally only boring people would think otherwise. Respect
