or is the super-radio not one -- but a series of dozens of g.e. models ?

if it is one of many -- which is the MOST SUPER ??

Ira I have s newer black mono GE Superadio that has the biigest Ferrite
AM antenna I've almost ever seen and the base of the telescope must be 7/8"! :-O
Incredible sound and reception for a mono.
It's black and I have a photo I think somewhere here,

Like yours-with cassette! May be quite rare if it is indeed a Superadio! :yes:

I have a couple of these. They are excellent radios and I did some research before buying mine. They are extremely highly regarded as amongst, if not THE best in it's price range for tuners. The super radios range from series I to II to III. This 5280 is basically a super radio with cassette. It also has GE's signature green tinted glass that is popular with some folks (hint: RELI).

Read the info on my radio, it's pretty cool. :cool: I freaked when I saw that it has a 1/8 in stereo plug for a headphone jack. I realize the sound would be mono, but doesn't this qualify as a line-out function? Gonna have to go check... :hmmm:

Yes you get signal, definetely line level, but slightly distorted, mono out of the 1/8 in stereo plug. :-/ Oh well.






I bought it 'cause it looked nice. :blush:
