Recently, I downloaded a manual for my RC-M70 from Norm at analogalley.com
I sat down last night to read everything in it, figuring that I knew everything operation wise...but it would be neat to reflect. I mean seriously.....if I have torn it completely apart, cleaned, oiled and adjusted the tape mechanics and FM pilot signals, etc.., surely I have moved past the ignorance of not knowing all of it's features right? WRONG!
After reading the manual, I flew into my bedroom to try out a "NEW" feature my M70 was always capable of but never knew.
-Rewind a tape from end to the beginning and automatically play it back-
I know. I am easily amused but that's as exciting as it gets around here sometimes.
You turn off music search, insert a tape that needs rewound. Press Play and Rewind keys at the same time. It will rewind until the beginning, stop and then start playing.
Some of you might obviously know this but it just goes to show, you can learn new features on a 38 year old radio. That alone was worth the money spent and raises the badassery of my M70 in my mind for sure
How many are confident that you know all the features your box has? If you have never had a manual for it, might be a good idea. You never know. You might learn a "NEW" Old feature
