so saturday night proved to be interesting. just a chill day preceeding it, not much happening anyways. the wife was cooking up some killer (no pun intended ) chow mien dish when i heard a crash. i asked if she was ok and she said yeah i am fine i will clean that up in a second. of course i doubted her so i took a look. there she was cooking aways oblvious to the blood squirting out of her foot all over the floor. i mean it freaked the crap out of me.
of course i asked her what the eff is going on and she looked down and saw the puddle that was forming on the floor.
so the basic first aid kicked in and we put the direct pressure on it . what a nasty cut she had on her toe. about three inches long and very deep.
the ammount of blood was crazy i mean there was a really large ammount in such a short period of time.
so i went off to find butterfly sutures gauze alcohol and all kinds of other first aid stuff i have amassed over the years.
i scrambled a bout for a bit hoping to hell i wasnt going to have to spend saturday night in the er. i mean saturday on a long weekend is almost always notoriously bad.
so the floor was covered with oil blood and bloody foot prints. the cats did not make the matter any better as they decided to track blood around even more.
the wife bandaged up her foot and we headed off to the emergency.
to our surprise it was very dead only a few people there. so we ended up being carted down a hall and into a area. we sat besides a guy who was stung by some mudwasps. not overly interesting story so far,but the cool part was the guy lives three houses over from us. i found that pretty strange. i mean wierd chance meeting i guess but it was pretty bizzare.
so in the end the wife got six stiches and a t shot.
surprising we were out of there within two hours and for a saturday night that was a miracle in itself.

WTH? :-O How can one not feel pain when their foot is gushing blood? Glad to hear that she is okay, Bill. Thank goodness you actually got up to check on things. There's no telling how that situation might have been different. ;-)

listen to this bobby.
seven years ago she was feeling a little bit sick. so she went to the doctor. the doctor diagnosed her with a ruptured apendix. she was sent to the hospital. they sent her home for three days till she finally went back because she had a fever.
she had no severe pain . the doctors could not believe it. she had a ruptured apendix and did not have any pain just minor discomfort. the drs said it was one in a million chance she did not die from it.

How could the hospital send her home with a ruptured appendix? Especially when a Dr. diagnosed it and sent her there?!

"If you had a ruptured apendix you would be in much more pain"
