Sanyo M9998K from 1978 it’s abit of a monster and weights about 9 kg / 19 lb 13.2 oz originally it would have had 2 exterior microphones attached to the sides sadly I do not have these

not strictly a ghettoblaster but an Barthe Educassette from the 80's commonly used for language courses but also features varible speed



Something small for the collection not something I’d normally look for but it was mint condition and only €2

PhilipsD6270 dating to 1986, Computer Compatible. Ideale for retro computers like the ZX Spectrum, MSX etc i actually have a Commodore 64



I wonder where I left that, 8 years stashed in the shed haven’t been kind to this Aiwa lol

Little boombox Thomson RT330 from 1981



Thomson MRK361T dating to the early 1980s, a french market edition with all the buttons in french, this one is rather smaller than my other boxes measuring just (l)36 x (h)17 and 8cm in depth, but has good sound, early feature of a digital scan for the radio with presets, made by Asahi Electronics in Singapore

1988(ish) Alpine Pullout 7190L i got for €3



late 90's Kenwood shelf speakers which i replaced bulbs for LEDs

Panasonic RX1450LS From 1981



Grundig C8800 Automatic from 1979

Vintage headphones not normally my thing but these have flashing lights, and were just a few euros



Made by Golden Technica Model MD800/CD but can’t find any information about them on the internet, they have 2 jacks one 6.5mm for the headphones themselves and a small 3.5mm jack for the lights, certainly something different, not got the lights working yet



which brings me to finally to here and now, got this for a couple of euros probably would have ended up in the bin, it’s certainly tired but fully working and now saved to see another day



Radiola 8419 Spatial Stereo from 1982, , Radiola was taken over by Philips, i found this a Phillips D8418 which has the same switchgear, both backs are exactly the same etc

Just added this to the collection Europhon RCP110 Jumbo, Made in Italy I believe in the 1980s but can find little information for this model on the net, maybe others know of another the same

another added to the collection found for €10, Panasonic RX-DT680 soft touch stereo, i believe its from 1991

Then got this one for €10 to add to the boombox collection moments later JVC PC-W310J from 1986 sadly not soft touch but does come with a removable personal XL/R10 CD Player oh and some more singles

That JVC portable CD player is rare. Built off of the Technics SL-Xp5 or 7 if memory serves. Nice find!
