I know there has been a lot of talk about rareness
here and I know of quite a few and I just want to
state about the 5 rarest boomboxes I know of!!

(1)Pioneer SK-12 so insanely rare I've only heard
of or seen and heard of 1 in the world!!!!! Primes!!

(2)Toshiba BB 40 Silver & Black editions! Silver
first.Self-explanatory.

(3)Sharp GF-9797HB bronzed edition.
So rare I've only heard of 2 in existence, possibly 3!

(4)JVC RC-M75
Only about maybe 4-5 known that I know of.

(5)The silver RC-550JW.
Only heard of 2-3.

Mitsubishi JR-6123. This is the only one I've ever seen. there is a Diatone a.k.a as well.

Aiwa TMR-400,how many of these have you seen?

Sanyo M9500K. I've only seen three in my life, and I've owned two of them.

Aiwa CS-W7E. How many of these have you seen?

Aiwa CS-X85,another rare beauty.

Only if it's allowed in with no battery facility in the cabinet! ;-)
I think it should be if there's one on the options list, 'cos it's different from the portable norm.
If it is portable. :hmmm:

I agree with all of these, very rare. I have seen that Aiwa with mico cassette before and the Aiwa CS-X85 on yahoo.jp they are great !

But does anyone here have a Sanyo P6 ? I know there was a guy on s2go who had the fisher 470 a.k.a and seen one or two of those for sale in the US but nothing else !

A slight notch down in rarity but I have a Toshiba RT-9990SM, and I know only of 4-5 other people who have one. So not top 5, maybe top 20 rarest.

The Lasonic CDX-931

Only seen 3-4 of those in my lifetime.

I think when you refer to rare, there needs to be an estimated value category to separate 'rarity'.

From $100-$200:
1. xxx
2. XxX
3. XXX

From $200-$300:
1. xxx
2. XxX
3. XXX

Victor PC-7,

I have seen only one so far and scored it. Seems that JVC PC-7 has never existed at all.

Yes, Michiel, it is. It does sound great also.
The best tuner I've had so far.
But frankly speaking PC-7 isn't a boomer in a pure sense but a Portable Compo, Mini System.
Without batteries it weighs 15 kilos. Could hardly imagine someone carrying it on a shoulder. :-)
