I don't feel I would be out of line speaking for the others who try to keep this zoo in order by simply saying...Thank YOU.
Back in April of 2009, there was a storm brewing at the old "Stereo2Go" site. I won't go into details or make a call on "Who Shot J.R." kind of talk. I will simply say that things got to the point where it was time to "make a move" of sorts.
Led by our own Fatdog, work began on a newer, fresher approach to our hobby. Where it was less like a little brother of "Audiokarma" and a little more group of free thinkers who also happened to be big kids at heart. Out of all the turmoil arose the premier site for boombox collectors. In May 2009 "Boomboxery" was born.
Please let me be clear, there is no slight to our brothers over at S2G. There was a period in which they had to go through their own valley, make some sacrifices, and go through a rebuild of sorts. And there are a good many of us between both sites watching the goings on of one another. Many a good person sharing the passion for boomers and keeping the sprit alive are there as well as here.
However, Boomboxery has transcended and innovated. From the first Mid-South Meet where it was only two of us and a house in Tennessee, which yes, was done while I and Bobby were at S2G, arose the Sunshine Mix. However, like any good businessman will tell you, when you move, your trademark follows, and with that trademark coming to Boomboxery we now have West Coast, Mid-West, Sunshine, European, and Aussie Mixes and Meets.
The site includes innovative ways to share information such as the rotating banner, manuals, music and more. There is innovative and new ways to post material and videos easier than ever. And we work hard to keep innovating with the use of tablets and smartphones.
We also have simple rules, clearly listed. And while we will (and do) have the occasional spat, within our means we do our best to settle it like big boys.
And the biggest compliment we can receive of all is how the new S2G has been rebuilt...looks familiar in a lot of ways
...and I can say that because I was there well before the new changes.
You guys and gals have lots of great ideas, great humor, and insightful posts (except Ira...we still haven't figured him out...), and fantastic collections from the smallest to the largest.
We've shared triumph and tragedy, success and failure, family and friends.
In the 1404 days since this site went live and hot...254,697 posts...That's 181.408 posts per day...7.558 posts per hour...1.259 posts every ten minutes. To hit the nail on the head...every 7.942 minutes a new post is registered and a new one started.
I am not about to figure out how many boomers total between collections!

We continue to share the spirit which drives us and extended our love of music to a whole 'notha level.
Let's take this to a whole new level...get those members lurking out of hiding...let's up the discussion and discoveries!
We Are The Brotherhood...We Are Boomboxery. Once again...
Thank YOU
