Thanks to BadBoyBill I got another Boomer. I have done many deals with him. Always a pleasure. He packs them like Fort Knox. This one arrived in three pieces but Safely

That's such a handsome box, I keep coming back to look at the pics. I can see exactly where I'd display one in my living room by lifting my eyes from my laptop.....................just there..........., standing proud and confident like no other. *sigh*

Congratulations on your acquisition! :hooray:

I have the very same one. I only have a few in my collection that can match it (and one that may exceed it) soundwise. It is in rarified air for performance.

Congrats!

I've never heard any other vintage box that sounds as good as the Tele. It is almost like a small home theatre system, it has warm room-filling bass and precise treble.

The Uher has nice bass, but the mids and highs are kinda dull.

The Hitachi TRK-9900 treble is very good, but the bass is lacking.

The RX-A2 and the ISP SC-800 might be louder than the Tele, but they're not nearly as warm.

I have never heard the Sansui, but it doesn't have proper tweeters, so I doubt it beats the Tele.

Nevertheless, I'm not sure I would buy another Tele, because its reliability is kinda questionable. Tele should have asked Japan to build it for them. European quality control is inferior IMO, no matter if it's cars, bikes, or radios. Don't buy them unless you've got a lot of spare cash for repairs.

The Hitachi TRK-9900 treble is very good, but its bass is just tight, not warm.

The RX-A2 and the ISP SC-800 might be louder than the Tele, but they don't have half as much warmth.

I agree 👍 to me the Telefunken was the best sounding unit I ever heard. But I personally loved the build quality as I owned unit for about 4-5 years and after I finished restoring her she never gave me troubles.

Glad to see my old baby went to another good home.
As for the Sansui CP-7 Ira is right, its a nice sounder.
I know,I've owned both at the same time and compared them.
But nothing like the Telefunken Studio1 and 1M.
Congrats Keith!!!!!

I've never heard a Telefunken but aren't some of the Sony FH's as good?

Congratulations, Keith! Tele Studios are the bomb...

Nothing sounds as good as a properly working Telefunken Studio 1 or 1M. I love mine and I'm sure you will be very happy, as Bill's is one of the best.

Love the chocolate color! Great choice, if I do say so myself.
