Hey,
So I was on ebay looking for nice boxes. I wanted one that looked boring and was fairly cheap, because I intended to custom paint it after inspiration from this site. I have some spare white, black and bright green paint from a costume I made so I thought I'd use that. Anyways, I found this rather anonymous-looking silver box that worked and looked alright, and also had controls on top. So no one bids on it until the last day and I end up winning with £ 87. I message the guy to pack it properly and get on with my studying.
One week later I get a HEAVY package.
Wow what else did he put in I think
.
I get home, open the excellently packed box and
SUPRISE
It's a minty, genuine, 5 kg + box from 1981 with Polished metal everywhere, LEDs, VU-meter (my first!), tape counter, like a million levers, better sound than all my other boxes and fully working except for the tape. I mean, the thing is heavier than my IST STR 5091that's A LOT bigger
!!!
It's branded Cap 10, so naturally he shall from now on be known as The Captain.
I don't think I'm going to paint it for a couple of reasons:
I can't open the bloody thing, built like a freakin' tank,
Already painting another truly cheap and bland looking box,
and I wouldn't want to ruin the almost flawless condition.
Lookout for the pics of the painted one
Peace.
