This pic is from 2001 . It was a crazy show we played when I was touring with two teenage kids in a band called Alunared. When I look at it I can't believe how much gear I used to control at the same time. Two synths. The Casio is not the kind you get from walmart either. It weighed forty or so pounds. A sampler two drum machines and other stuff. This show was insane because when we got there we thought it was a bust.we were locked away in a little room for two hours, when we came out over a huge amount of people were there. I often wonder if this place even exists anymore. It was the covered wagon saloon in San Francisco.

I used to wear these head lights to counteract the strobe lights I was never good with them.jack is in the foreground. By far the craziest guy I've ever played with. I remember one night he broke his arm and kept on playing. No he did not do any kind of drugs. The squalor this guy lived in was shocked. Basically a closet in a punk house in Vancouver. Living on water and ramen noodles.hes living in London now and I am going to work with him electronically a bit in the near future.

I remember jack not wanting to drive after this show cuz he had a few beers and he said he didn't want to take our lives into our hands. She just turned to him and said "what life jack" she completely vanished from the face of the earth after this tour . I remember her train hopping from Vancouver to Montreal in the. Middle of winter. I think this was at the voyeur in Olympia it was so hot that day I thought we would die lol. Right when we started playing a awesome breeze from the river came into the venue.

That was a fetish night my wife drove me to the gig. I locked the keys in the running truck.....
We had to bolt all the way back to my house 45 mins each way. I had to kick down my door. Ahem my better half waited in a bar filled with people in rubber suits ......vampires and nurses in spandex. She was not impressed .

Just those two are more than enough to create amazing tracks on thier own. For the prices they can be found for now they are real bargains, modern classics I think. The real beasts in that picture tho are the Jupiter6 on the bottom tier of that stand and the sy77 on the top left . Those two synths can rip woofers in half.

The iMac was a strange retroish looking computer at this point. Translucent and running os9. Hipsters didn't exist at this point. Although this photo does look like it was snapped using the hipstamatic app I hate.

It was well into the 100s here. The drummer nearly blacked out. Jack beats on some sheet metal during this song. It was at a really nice kid named Willy . Willy played in a band we toured with. He was one of the most talented kids I ever met. Sadly depression and self medication would take him down a road that resulted in his death seven years after this photo was taken. I will never forget singing dark entires with willys band during thier last show. Dozens of SoCal punk kids slamming against me trying to steal the mic from me, losing my balance and the only handle available being a double d sized breat that turned out to be attached to willys girlfriend.

Thanks man. You know those yamahas are great if you can get one cheap 200 go for it, watch out for the knobs tho they are cheaply made on this keyboard. Try to find a cs6x it's a much higher quality unit with lots of other options. Those two synths you have are real off the radar power machines. I think if you have those two you may find the Yamaha a bit flimsy in comparison
