Cool vid. I think it's exceptionally cool that the guy that owns the Enzo actually DRIVES it the way it was meant to be driven! Oh, and the 'cuda is cool, too. ;-)

I Am Legend
lesson learned --

NEVER drive closely behind any 60s musclecar at over 100 mph :nonono:

sure - they can add some cubes and a few turbos and rubber , etc etc-
but --thats makes only a quick 0-60 or 1/4 mile hole shot -

for sustained high speeds --
the lift becomes so dangerous -
and then the body parts come apart !!

they just were not made for the 200 mph air pressures--not even close

That was a brand new Cuda ;-) that was awesome

I Am Legend
a new one !!!
thats a great re-make :-O

but then - 50 years later -
the body work still gets loose and the design fails the
aero tests

just way too dangerous

As cool as it is  ...you bring up great points Ira.

The handling and assembly work on a 60'/70' musclecar is nowhere near that of the newer Enzo. Even if built from the frame up, you just wont get the same quiality as a factory controlled environment with the tooling available to meet exacting tolerances.

BUT...Let say we take the new Challenger and beef it up...then let's see what happens. :hmmm:

i want to like the super cuda but honestly it just does not do it for me. i mean i appreciate the time and work that went into that car,but i prefer 60s muscle to be left in a fairly untouched state. i mean it did go very fast but you just cannot compare that to a enzo. i am all for a muscle car being done up in period bits but at some point it just gets a little bit over the top. i am surprised that they did not address details such as the window trim. i mean going wild and bolting on all kinds of turbos and addressing the suspension is one thing but it falls short if you dont address the other details. i am pretty sure there is a 68 street driven camaro that has made a 248 mph pass at the salt flats in utah. this was a featured car in hot rod a while back but i cannot remember the exact year.
i think the enzo is quite the car but i am still more into the f40 ferarri from a few years back. no roll up windows no heater no carpet ect ect.
its a bit slower than the enzo but for me its truer to the heart of a race car.
cool vid tho overall i do love all kinds of cars but some i like more than others. i think the new challenger is quite a cool new ride i mean i prefer it over both the camaro and mustang rivals. i think with some effort it could be quite amazingly fast. not overly fond of the big sized rims on cars today its just personal preference.
i do think lmc does some pretty impressive work with turbo engines tho i mean 1000 horsepower and pretty reliable is hard to do. i doubt if you pressured up the enzos motor to a thousand horsepower it would be very reliable.

:hmmm: I wonder about the Corvette its got some cojones too.

Imagine that kind of horse power on a Corvette which I believe it has been done.

Oh and the Corvette is aero dynamically to handle such speeds I believe. The Cuda of course is not made to be aero dynamic but if we had the chance to own that 1000 horse power monster ohhh baby get ready for the fun.

Theres another car thats pretty cool and thats the Saleen S7 twin turbo 248 mph, but sadly its discontinued. :'-(
