Stripped post fix

Curious what you guys use to repair stripped posts. I don’t want to use something permanent (crazy glue) but maybe something like thread locker “blue”
Any advice?

I don't think you can use threadlocker with plastic.
I definitely wouldn't use Krazy glue, you'd probably destroy the plastic if you needed to take it apart again.
Sometimes you can find a slightly larger diameter screw at a hardware store.
If you go too big, it'll split the plastic.
I've gotten larger screws and heated them with a flame a bit so they will turn new threads into the plastic.
Of course, if you get it too hot, you'll ruin the plastic.

Yep either slightly larger as Tin said or super glue mixed with saw dust or baking soda, then just ream the screw in.

I use JBweld & a paper clip to run the exoxy down the hole. After it is hardened for a day, I drill a slightly smaller hole than the the threaded screw & then work the screw into the post slowly to create new threads in the JBWeld...hope that helps.

3 drops of runny Super Glue..run it down one side of the Inner post..as it dries it will expand..give it about 20 minutes to dry solid..then put the screw in and gently recut the thread..screw it in slowly.. if it goes too tight then unscrew it.. then screw it back in until it starts to get easy..don't get carried away otherwise you will split the plastic

Strengthen the post so that it won't crack open.

Tightly wind a thin copper wire on the post to the length of the screw hole. Then use a glue (hot glue works well) on top of the winding so that it won't loosen up from the post. Now the post won't crack open easily.

Another method is to use small metal sleeves that can be slipped over tightly on the post.

Our "tech Guru" Superduper send me those metal rings after repairing the power transformer of my Sanyo. It was so perfect to slip tight on the posts. He is a genius!

In my case I would use several layers of Teflon tape wound on the screw thread as needed and tighten it. This way you have no worries of a stuck screw or cracking the post. It worked well for me.

Yep, I've done that too.
I posted a while back about Plast-Aid here.
It works great for strengthening the posts around the outside.
You can put it on thin or heavier if you have room.
It's different from JB Weld in that it doesn't stick but chemically bonds to the plastic.
