i do think tho that when someone shows up to obviously start crap it should be shut down immediately.
personal attacks should never be tolerated on any forum.
its hard to draw a fine line sometimes but when its obvious a good forum will have the mod shut it down immediately.
i am against censorship for the most part but i am not stupid either.
a person who shows up to wind stuff up is pretty obvious.
in the case of our friend gordie it sure as hell sounds like whoever is bugging him is a complete tool.
in fact any personal attack at all should be removed immediately from a forum and the isp banned.
for years i was extremely active on forums associated with music and underground culture.
i seen fantastic forums go from being very active arenas of online communtity activity to internet ghost sites.
once a site looses integrity its only a matter of time before it falls.
it becomes a source of drama and tension for people and instead of being a fun time its just a gong show.
no one says anything new or good.
yes there should be playful kidding banter or even disagreements between people.
again its a fine line but....
there is a huge difference between saying dude your radio sucks and
dude your a ugly good with a radio that sucks and i think you are praying to the wrong god and btw who you voted means your going to hell.
i mean taking a cheap shot at someone is just that a cheap shot.
you can be anyone or anything online. so people act tough.
its dumb.
me while i am not perfect i do try to not flame people that i dont know in real life.
i would however be the first to speak up if i saw someone here trying to rip someone off or attempt defamation of character.
in the end tho it all works out. things evolve into what they will be and this web forum is evolving into a very good online community.
thats a cool thing.
beacause in this day and age the internet forum is indeed becoming a rarity.

Seriously though a forum the size of S2Go needs a lot of moderation with checks and balances to be perceived as fair.I'd hope that one mod isn't baring the entire burden over there.

Jens,this is the wholey truth,i feel so bad for you man,seems you have to sort out that site on your own,thats bad..pf was ok for that site (in a way) because he took no nonsense..just a shame he took his power a little too far..
