I just changed the belts on my Sharp GF-9191 and it seems to be playing about 5~10% slower than it should be....

Can the motor speed be adjusted? If so, anyone know how?

jt if the motor has a little hole on the top cover just carefully use a real small screwdriver and turn if not then it might be on the pc board itself but not sure that those sharp has it that way...

It could be that the belts are too tight. Tight belts will make the motor slower. Just an idea.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this might be the case... The 10.5 seems such a tight belt on this. The one that came off of it was all stretched out and had little cracks across it, but it was closer to 11.0.

hmmm...

Silly me, there I was.... thinking I was done and this one was ready to put on display. Oh, well... off to the MCM Electronics website (again).

If your going to use the old motor in it, you should give the the motor brass bushes a drop of oil.
We do this this with all units. It makes a difference. Be carefull not to get any oil on the belt of course.
Also, if the belt tension is to tight, that won't help.

When you mentioned 10.5, I was slightly confused, because I have found quite a few of the Sharp boxes share the 11.0 main belt configuration. I bet going to the 11.0 belt will fix it right up.
