Speaking of Campers....

Along those lines I thought I would share my latest acquisition...

It's a 1995 Ford F350 XLT 4x4 with a 460 cid, 4 speed automatic, with a Banks intake and exhaust system. The truck also has a dealership after market package known as the "Roll A Long" package that features fender flares, aluminum mag wheel, running boards, exterior lighting package, off road lights, custom grill, wood grain dash and accents, CD disc changer and some other extra trim. Amazingly, this truck only has 45,500 miles on it. It runs like a dream.

The camper is a 2001 Lance 11'6" with a queen sized bed, refrigerator, freezer, microwave over, three burner stove with oven running on twin 5 gallon propane tanks, forced air heater, air conditioning, full kitchen, on board electrical generator, full bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, closet and convertible beds that will sleep up to 6 people.

I think the RV and boating industry are amazing on how they approach space and weight issues.

Yep, full shower, hot water heater, even has an out door shower. Has holding tanks for fresh water, grey and black water.

It's perfect for two people....

Shipping would be the cost of gas to drive it there

I haven't really had it on the road for long distances, so I'm not sure what the mileage is. It has two gas tanks. I was told 18 gallons each, so 36 gallons total. So if it get's 12 miles to the gallon, that's 432 miles per fill up at $3.50 per gallon = $126 or 3.4 miles per $1.00. ot sure where I was going with that

I really don't know weight.....I would like to get the whole rig weighed. The truck is a 1 ton and it has AirLift air bags on the back to level it out. It run's about 80lbs of pressure to keep it level.

Those dual cab F series trucks are great with that super long style side tray + big block!.
Low Ks too so it should give you many years of pleasure!!

I had an Escalade with a 30 travel trailer, but with the kids grown and it just down to my wife and I, this should get us there!

I'm looking forward to some camping this year.

I have to say, from a dead stop in a straight line, It has surprising power...you can also watch the gas gauge move

I have a super heavy duty 87' GMC 2500 with gooseneck hitch in the
back.
It has a work bed on it but is set up for camper-up to 3,800lbs.
I'll have photos finally when I do 2 more months of work on it.
Still cleaning it up and replacing stuff,love my truck!

I really like the look of the mid 80's Chevy's! I also like the work bed body's....allot of people out here in Cali use their work trucks to tow their camping rigs. With the heavy duty capacity of the HD's you can pull anything!

Yeah man, that's a nice set up.....I always liked the convertible Avalanche...so useful. I towed a 30 foot Taurus travel trailer all over the south western US a handful of years ago. Great way to spend time with the family and see `this beautiful country.

Yeah, we are lucky in California that cars last a bit longer! My mom, who now lives in Geneseo, Illinois has a 1994 Suburban 4x4 454cid with the full Banks system on it that she is thinking of selling because so many people want it. Being a Cali truck it has no rust like every other truck in the area.
