Found this on Ebay last week in mint condition for $30 with free shipping, it was introduced in 2003 priced at $180. This was a Discman-hybrid, it allows you to connect this to your pc/mac and use it as a dvd-rom or cd burner drive. Has USB 2.0 support along with a Memory Stick slot on the side. Built in lithium-ion rechargeable battery gives it the ability to be used as a portable Discman, wired remote stick with backlit display handles most of the functions for that purpose, twist the end to change tracks, pull the end out and twist to change volume, features 3.5mm headphone jack and clip. MP3 & CD-Text disc support along with skip protection, this will actually spin the disc at a higher speed and stop it until it needs more data. Came with the USB docking cradle for using it with the computer.
