There are many possible causes of this fault....a little more info would help.

So, the head is still engaged? And it won't eject???

Is that close??

head and rollers are in the up position. It will eject no problem ... just can't get a tape in

Ok, so the head and mech are jammed in the up position.

Is the deck receiving power?

Are there lights or leds operating?

Has the belt been changed or has the drive belt broken?
