I've been working on getting a MAME cabinet organised, ended up buying one in it's all together and then ripping out the bits I didn't like and replacing them with higher performance stuff. For the sound I actually used a boombox. I took apart a National RX-C34 and mounted her up on a board which now sits on the left inside wall of the cabinet doing all the sound duties. And BOY does it POUND! Being a heavy, solid wood cabinet has essentially turned it into a powered subwoofer, so those little speakers THUNDER along. It's quite remarkable!

Here's the RX before insertion:

With how it's mounted I can easily access the volume and EQ via the door on the back of the machine.

And here's the actual cabinet, I made a video about it on my new iPad using iMovie as a bit of an experiment to see what it's capable of. I ended up very pleased with the results. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks rockers!

There's about 3000 titles on there.

Some of my favourites are Space Invaders, Galaga, Aliens Vs Predtaor, Jungle King, Guwange, Space Harrier, Qix, amongst others and pretty much every Neo Geo title.I had a Neo Geo home system in the early 90s and it has some of my most favourite games ever: Magician Lord, 2020 Super Baseball,
Nam'75, Sengoku, Samurai Shodown, Burning Fight, so many absolute killers.
