Last week acquired a PC-550! These are all of mine with the exception of my 90 ,still out for the volume control. Compared to these It Is by far the best sounding to me. (BUT NOT WITHOUT A VOLUME CONTROL) Lol Bottom 71 Is a part's box ,It got my other one working! Yayyyyy

It Is a nice box In good shape but she just doesn't match the sound of the 90 for the weight of the damm thing! Lol Tk's for looking guy's.

Sound's good but It Is a newer box with CD but really decent for what It Is. No where's near the weight of the 550

Hey, nothing wrong with a good CD box  ive got an Hitachi 3D with a CD, tbh its not much of a looker but its got good sound, its loud and it dosnt matter if i get burger grease or beer on it

Ive always liked that Panny (with or without the CD :-D ) but they dont come up that often round my way.
And when they do im always tapped out :'-(

Great start!! I have a silver 550 and I hooked it up with LED's. Great sounding unit!! I too also have a Panny minus the CD player and I'm amazed at the bass that pumps out. Congrats. And I agree with the comment about the m70's. everybody has one except him and I. It's all good tho.

Can't argue that point. I've had two PC-55's and it's amazing given the engineering of similar sized units with similar power, that these JVC's were so bass shy. You can swap out the woofs for better ones and get the bass back it should have. I believe that the intent withe the design was to protect the woefully inadequate drivers that came with these units. I can easily recall back in the day watching the speakers get destroyed. :-)

Weird I had a 70 new ,a 90 new and a 55 new ,even back In 83/84 ,I alway's liked the 90 the best ,I only bought the 55 cause It was detachable, the Novelty of that wore off real quick. Lol I found those little speaker's Plopped alot sooner than the other's, but I do remember the 55 seemed to have sounded better than the 550 I have now. BUT that was a long time ago. Lol
