Silent DISCO..??

Anyone heard of this..? I seen a commercial the other day of a bunch of yahoos dancing around with headphones on...
I have yet to research it and find any reasonable explanation, unless you are holding a dance party in the Library or something...
I think a boombox would be a whole lot easier..? New generation I guess, jerkin' in their skinny jeans!

Pandora/Spotify/Turntable/etc. on mobile device with all the hipsters listening to the same channel/playlist?

I agree, a blaster would be easier and fresher.

My 17 year old son does them!...he does mixing/DJing and has done a couple of silent events. One of them had two DJs and people could chose what channel to listen to...so it was like a silent sound off. Fun to do, weird to watch! It's pretty weird for the DJ too as you also only have sound through headphones so it takes some getting used to
