Hi everyone, I recently bought a Siemens Club 735 in need of help for a very low price (plus shipping from Germany to Italy that was more than 3 times the cost of the device itself...) and I succeeded in refurbishing it, replaced the belts (had to grind off a seized screw to do this), replaced the blown bulb that lights up the radio scale, de-oxidized the pots, cleaned everything, but starting to reassemble it I noticed a small piece of plastic on the table that seemed to come out of nowhere, after a bit of research I realized that it was part of one of the two sliding spindles that winds the cassette reels, needless to say even the other one was already cracked and broke completely after touching it. Managed to glue them back but one of them broke immediately after only inserting a cassette into the deck.
I read somewhere (maybe another thread on this forum) that the spindles in some Panasonic boomboxes are exactly the same (and made with better plastic), so maybe buying the correct donor would solve the problem but it could be that even the donor unit is worth repairing...
. Do some of you guys happen to know which kind of donor should I search for?
Thank you very much for your help.
