Shipping time?

Ordered a boombox from a ebay member in america (professional dealer).
It should be shipped on 23.12.!
Not got it till today.
Now i´m a littlebit nervous. :'-(

Could there be any troubles because of the holidays?
Or the douane check?
Hope it did´nt get lost... :-/

If it was standard USPS I'm not surprised it would take five plus weeks, Customs can stall a package for weeks.

Depends on customs...

I sent HiFiTom a JVC PC-55 a few years ago and it arrived in a few weeks. Of course where it was stuck was German customs as they wanted to know what the value was for VAT. Of course I described it as an old broke radio so no tax! :lol: :lol: :lol:

US shipping no longer offers surface mail. Everything is airmail so it shouldn't take that long unless it's in customs (or lost). I've sent a few things to Germany and both times, they were delivered in a week. On the other hand, I've sent stuff to other locations (Russia, Africa, Italy) and delivery of those weren't confirmed for a long time (over a month). It might have been delivered faster but I couldn't tell since I didn't know how accurate international tracking was.

The problem I have is no tracking on international packages shipped vis usps. Always gets me nervous when I get the question "Will you ship to?!?!?"

I have a Conion in the wild right now!! The size is enough of a worry but shipping it abroad - plain scary!!!
