Well after breaking my resolution of "not buying any boxes till i sold some" by pulling the trigger on this 939 on 1st of Jan, it has at last arrived.

This box sounds absolutely great, it has superb highs and im picking stuff out on tracks i had not really noticed on some other boxes.
Im really pleased with it, it weighs a ton and has killer looks, and of course including that awesome spectrum anyalser.

The wf 939 is really awesome machine.. :yes:

I have one and when rotated I'm always surprised over and over by his appearance and sound quality :yes:

Doesn't even show up on the radar for me...more like the "someday" sonar...I look at the ones from China and just sigh.

I mean, 10 band graphic eq, for crying out loud! :jawdrop:

No...wish I did have it though. Maybe one day but I am not going to chance the Chinese sellers unless it is a reputable source and reasonable cost. I have the patience of a Tibetan monk when waiting for the right moment. :lol:

Looks great man. Saw some picture online of one of these with a LED-modified spectrum analyzer, looks super-cool and futuristic. yours is pretty sweet as well ! Remember this being one of the first boxes I really wanted when I started collecting, but somehow I don't want it anymore, maybe after discovering so many other models that suits me better.

Chris, this model is about so much more than just the spectrum analyzer display. IMHO the RX-C300 has a much nicer display being a flourescent vs LED bargraph as on the WF-939 but the 939 (and gf-800) are more portable being lighter. But just think of the display as the cherry on top of a great tasting cake. The sound and power will make you forget about the display. This and it's GF-800 siblings all are awesome boomboxes. You would not regret owning either.

Anytime POWER and LOOKS come together, I'm in. Of course, the prices reflect this quality! But I would love to have one!

heh the one on Paul's PocketCalculator site with the blue LED's is one of my first mods.. hell that was like 11-12 years ago! man my ass is getting old.. the Sharp 939 is a beast.. wish I never sold it.. whoever got that box I modded don't let her go! 1 will get another one someday I hope..

I think i saw a picture of your old one with the blue mod on Google, while i was searching for 939 pics while waiting for mine to be delivered (as you do).
