I’m curious as to how I would safely remove the tuner face I have 2 gf777 1 the body is beat from poor shipping the other is in great condition minus the metal tuner face it’s worn and pretty rough I want to swap the one to the other so I can utilize the best of both radios

What’s the safest way to do this

No "safe" way to do it. But you might get it easier to release with heat gun, being careful not to melt the plastic shell at the same time.

are you talking about the metal plate that the numbers & scales are printed on & the tuning indicator slides along?

A trusty method I've used is to isolate the area with the glue and soak it in isopropyl alcohol for a few hours. IPA can damage paint, but doesn't affect lettering or plastics. The glue will soften enough to allow you to pull the trim away without bending it. If it's still attached too strongly, just let it soak longer.
