Sharp GF7300 right speaker really quiet

Hi guys!
I have a very strange problem...
I bought a red Sharp GF-7300 and every Cassette I play has nearly no Volume on the right speaker...

Things I tried/know:
- all cassettes play fine on my walkman and tapedecks
- tried cassettes recorded on different tapedecks
- in radio-mode both speakers are good!

and the bummer: I had this model 38 years ago... and that had EXACTLY the same problem????

Any educated guesses???

to forum.
Try to clean the tape head and pinch roller.
Insert a cassette and turn REC + PLAY on and off for 10 times.
if it doesn't help you have to open the boombox and clean the switch radio - tape with spray.

Pinchroller is new and Tapehead was cleaned and demagnetized.
I will try the rec + play switch and the radio tape switch.
btw I switched the speakers and it is not the hardware itself, it is the right channel. If I connect the right speaker to the left channel and vice versa the left channel is nearly muted.

Maybe try recording with it and then playing it in a known working player.
I have this problem with a Disco Lite, one cassette player won't play or record on one side (forget if it's left or right).
I'm thinking it's a bad head but I got fed up and never figured it out.

it could be a worn out capacitor, i repaired a Crown 970 for someone years ago and it turned out to be a worn out cap, how i found that out, i warmed the board up around the Amp with a Hair drier, the heat gave the bad cap a temporary boost, but when it cooled down, the channel went Quiet again, i found the bad cap and changed it, and got it working again, but i would start with the Radio/Cassette function switch and the Internal Record Bar/slide first, try spraying them with electrical contact cleaner and see if that does anything..

I did a complete recap on mine so I know that's not my problem

You will probably hate me for this, but i sold 2 sharp radios a few months ago, one was a GF7300 and another was a Sharp GF7450, Like the GF7300 but with a Graphic Equalizer, i sold them for £25 each, there was nothing wrong with them, but i'm just not greedy, i don't get involved with eBay and the way the sellers Eek every last penny out of someone for a radio, i just sell them for what i think is fair, and £25 each i thought was a fair price. the same guy bought both. i do have 2x GF7400, Like the Gf7300, but not half Grey, the 7400 is All Silver.. the reason i bought them was because i had a great friend in the 80s, we went every where together, he had a GF7400, we stayed friends for years, but about 3 years ago he got a brain Tumor and passed away, so i went straight to eBay and found a GF7400 and bought it, cos it reminds me of him. then i saw another cheap so i bought that one as well. although they have only got tone control they're still a nice little radio, but for me, it's not about the sound, to be honest i don't even use it much, it's about my old friend..
