i bought this sharp of ebay last week, you cant really see in the photo but its filthy. i'll be cleaning it as i go along. it looks to be in excellent cosmetic condition.
this is it when it arrived this morning
it had a fault with it, which was only 1 speaker was working, but ive almost got that sorted with some tips from JVC floyd and 2Steppa. ive sprayed the switches and sliders with switch cleaner. now both speakers are working again, with the exception of using auxillary, but its getting there.
the right speaker is quite badly distorted, so i'll be replacing them both with modern units at some point, and i'll be spray painting the grilles gloss black as well because theyre faded with spots of surface rust
should be adding to this over the next week

WD-40 might work temporarily and definitely make things move more smoothly, but it attracts dust. It will need a cleaning with DeOxit or a similar contact cleaner. 
i would use regular electronics cleaner/spray like deoxit or electronics cleaner lubricant that you can buy at radio shack ,nice to see you got it opened up and took some pics .
2steppa, your 575 is mint mate, hopefully mine shouldnt be too far off condition wise, by the time ive finished cleaning it. unfortunately the original speakers in mine need to be replaced due to the distortion in the left
