Sharp GF 9000 VU Meter

Alright, so i noticed something different about this VU meter. I think it actually shows sound levels of the music itself rather than showing real time dB levels per speaker dependant on the volume levels at the time of playing somenthing. Is that correct? or does it monitor something else? :hmmm:

If they keep moving even if the volume is at 0, then they are true VU meters. True VU meters read the peak level of the recordings, regardless of how loud you're listening to it.

Meters that change when you adjust the volume should really be called "power meters", because that's all they're doing, measuring how much power is being sent to the speakers. I can't stand those types of meters, because they don't move at all when the volume is real low.

Yes they do move at 0 volume :-) .
Edit: Spotted a problem with my Left speaker, the dust cone starts ratling when i play Continous low frequency sounds at high volumes :-/
