Sharp GF 777 FM tuner scratchy!

One of my GF 777's FM tuner is a bit scratchy on powerful stations with the FM stereo light on but on weaker stations it is okay. It shows no difference with the SNRS on of off.

Is there a way to align this without going through major tune up?

It is fine on SW and AM and only scratchy sound with FM. Line, cassette all work fine.

Left VU meter is not working, but moves when you tun on power and then don't work. So it is not stuck!

Please help!

Royce sounds like tuner issue. At least these have a scheme but I wouldn't dare mess with tuner. I would suggest taking it to Martroy electronics on 63rd in Chicago. I know they realign tuners with scheme 😏
