Sharp GF-575

So what are the sharp boxes like ?

ive long admred them along with the crown units and hear they are the best and offer immense sound, the sharp gf-575 is a unit thats always caught my eye but seems to command strong prices, but i have aquired one , thats said to be in full working order and i am excited to get my hands on it, it should be with me on saturday, it will be my second box and i love the silver looks and cant wait to see it in the flesh and fire it up

what is the 575 like ? what can i expect from it and how will it compare/differ to my hitachi trk 8190e ?

like most sharps it's a great box, goes loud and has good sound, looks absolutely beaut too, you won't be dissapointed
id'e rate it a notch above the hitachi, not sure about the sound difference though as i had mine years back and can't fully remember.
nice quality well built great looking box though

You'll be happy with the 575. It's got more bass than the Hitachi. It's gonna be louder too. Congrats.

i had a gf 575 a year or two back and it was one of the best sounding (and looking)sharp units ive ever had-and believe me ive had a few-just ask d8614ss
back in the early years (the seventies)nearly all boxes were small but heavy and well made,and generally good sounding,sharp were no exception,with boxes like the 9090,9191 etc.fire up the eighties and sharp launched models like the 777,9797,575,8989,vz series and others,and at this time sound quality was mixed for them.....some sounded awesome while others were mediocre....the 575 was awesome sounding but my vz2000 isnt so hot sounding,a bit hit and miss really to be fair.needless to say sharp made some of the best stereos ever and in general you cant go wrong with a gf,or geoffs as i call them

its arrived, was not due for delivery until tuesday because of bank holiday, by luck im working 2 misn from the depot today so i went down and picked it up, although i had to charm it from them as it hadnt been out for delivery to me so no card, and they had to search through a lot of unsorted parcels that had just came in

VERY very happy !!! just unboxed and fired it up and its great, radio sounds very loud and clear, excellent sound and looks fantastic, cant wait to get home and try some tapes

i need some stickers for it now, i see they are for sale on here but there are 2 types ?? how do i know ??

also i need some stickers that are by the slide switches, volume etc, as theya re missing, but i knew that, is there anyone who can do/make me some ??
