Hello Forum, my name is Martin I am needing help with a Sharp GF 666z. he had kept it abandoned. I started cleaning, repairing and changing rollers and belts and more. it works very well except that an output line does not work and the cassette 1 the motor does not stop turning. Been looking for manuals and only found the GF 555. Any ideas where to start? In the manuals that I find, I don't see how the motor activates when I press play. I like to restore different things today it's up to a Sharp. thank you

Look for the leaf switch it maybe out of adjustment. There open contacts that should close when you press play.

First of all thanks for your help. I just saw your comment. and a few days ago I did exactly what you tell me. and it worked. They were the switches that the chassis did not push well. Now I will continue looking for the next problem, which is a channel that does not output the audio. Today I will do some tests. If you want to contribute something, you are welcome. again thank you very much for your time.

A good place to start is the headphone socket there are contacts for L and R channels return (ground) which can be bridged to ensure there is no high resistance contact in the speaker circuit.

Hello again forum, I don't know if it's okay to comment here. But don't close the topic. As indicated above, I am repairing a sharp gf-666z in my spare time. now I am in the last problem, is that the right channel has no sound. I've been doing some checks. I have a basic knowledge of electronics, that's why I'm here. on all outputs only the left channel works. I was measuring voltage on the ICs. and it seems that everything is correct. but here the biggest problem is that I am basing myself on information from the 555 manual since I can't find it for the 666. If someone has a manual with data from the gf 666, it will be welcome.
I also cleaned all the linear potentiometers and nothing has changed. I can make a list or take a picture of the values I got. any ideas??

Radio raheem

Requiem Æternam
i would check the preamp board if you can find that or generate a signal from point a to point b and trace where the signal is lost........don't ask me how you do that, also check the headphone socket...is there a full audio output on radio, also clean the record bar
