Hello,

Any ideas in how to get this apart. I've got the screws out, the ones with the pointy arrows. But, there's one pointy arrow and I don't see a screw, so how does one use it? Maybe push it in to release?

Thanks in advance,
Lee

So, I'm trying to open this Sears model 564.21360350
box up to clean the pots. I'm having trouble getting the case open (see above).

I have no idea but did you try opening the cassette door?
Sometimes that has to open to get them separated.
Also, have you removed all of the knobs and switch covers?
That pic almost looks like a jack of some sort, weird.
If you've done everything listed above, you might just have to pry it apart.
Some have catches that snap the front and back together.

Thank you. I got it apart, but in the process the pillar broke off. The pillar corresponding with the mystery jack (?). I have attached pics regardless.

So it's attached somehow (most likely a screw).
Is it possible someone put that jack looking thing in there and the screw is behind it?
It does have an arrow above it and it looks like the same diameter as the other screw holes.
Can you unscrew the "pillar" from the back?
If you get it off, you can try superglueing it back on the front then reinforcing it with something else like one of the JB Welds.
I like Plast-Aid but it's fairly expensive.
