Scored Crown 970 at flea this morning

For only 20 euros.
It is very dirty and it has some scratches but I'm stunned by his appearance in live.
Before only couple of days I drooled over Max's 970 and now I can not believe that I found the same bbx at a flea market.


Radio works fine on the all bands, the tape does not, the pots needs cleaning with deoxit and on the both antennas are missing tips, the battery compartment is clean like never been used.
Now I have to give her a good bath and wish me luck with repairing the deck.

I think that in my country, people are not yet aware of the value of boomboxes such as in the U.S. and Western Europe.
That's why I can find more often some valued boxes on flea here and for cheap.

It's funny how a box that was apparently so rare turned out to be not that rare after all. Anyway, imo this is the nicest Crown model out there and it is definitely in the top 5 best looking boomboxes ever made. Those chrome rings are simply amazing and I love the cool dial light.
