I have satellite in my Camaro and I now have a satellite Boombox which
I hook up to my home stereo.
It does sound pretty good but there is some repetition there.
I'm going through some pretty nice sound equipment but again I think
my metal $ high-end chrome tapes and great vinyl still seem to
sound better to me! :yes:

I do listen to FM at times but cassettes & high end vinyl is my choice!

Not hip on purchasing iTunes songs and then playing them through
my I-pod,to much damn compression there!! :nonono:

I do notice some good sub bass digital sound from some XM stations! :yes:
Great thread! :-)

Wow... thanks for that link to the dynamic range site, Fatdog!

I pulled up some random artists of CDs I had within eyesight and noticed this interesting bit of info for the band Level 42...

Notice that the three of their albums which fall into the weakest dynamic range listing are all "remastered."

Gonna have to share that site with the crew at Tapeheads, too.

REMASTERED = :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:

A few years ago a MASSIVE collection of vintage SCORPIONS songs came out Remastered and it's horrific. Completely un-listenable. The bass went from punchy to a droning HUMMMM across all the songs. Like someone smeared peanut butter across your speakers. :sick:

They need to leave these things alone.

HEY, GEORGE LUCAS, MOVE AWAY FROM THE VINTAGE SCORPIONS COLLECTION :ls-duel:
