I noticed that right away, looks much better than the cloth grill and it will last a hell of a lot longer.

Thanks bill again, that cap is okay though, just cant see the other leg in the photo is beneath it. The hole to the side is one of those dotted around all over the board.
I've checked the resistors along the track on the LED path coming from the LA3361 IC501. It is difficult though to check if the IC501 is working correctly as the schematic oddly omits the voltages around the pins of that chip...

It's usually the one closest to tuning. I believe SVR502 is adjustable resistor for FM stereo

Thanks bill, there are 3 VR's on this board labelled
1. FM TUN/ADJ - nearest to the tuner dial.
2. SEP ADJ - just under the mode switch for radio.
3. 19KHZ ADJ - down in bottom right.

Unfortunately no dice adjusting :annoyed:

The one marked "19KHZ ADJ" would be the correct one.
