Cool...I just got one :-P Does it sound as nice as the 9994K?

I took a look at one of these Sanyos last week from a local seller. He was only asking $35 but I was pretty underwhelmed with the build quality of this later model Sanyo so I passed.

The handle ends for instance are plastic instead of metal as on the earlier models. The deck has an unusual pause button (lever) on the front which was jamming on on the example I inspected. The sound was OK though, very similar to the M9990. ;-) It was good that Sanyo avoided using sliders on this model and the rear cassette holders are a good idea.

The unit felt lighter than an M9990 or M9994 and was smaller (less tall).

So for the sound output alone, get one if it's the right price just don't expect old school Sanyo build quality.

James.... :-)
