sanyo C7 issue

i just won a c7 on epay and the guy emailed me to tell me that the tape deck just got stuck in play/rec mode. we first agreed to not follow thru with the deal then i thought about it and asked him if he'd discount it cuz of this issue. my question is is it an easy fix and would it be worth 50 shipped also it has no handle. help me

dave the belt most likely went out on it leaving the heads stuck in the up position you just have to spin the flywheels around to get them to go back down in order to get the door open is a c7 a component box like the c9 ? and it might have a detachable handle i dont have one i was just wondering.
