My cousin had this box in 1987..

I couln't sleep that night when I saw this Akai boombox.......

The love for it is still there..

Stupid me...I went to empty clothes from the dryer and by the time I came back..... the auction was almost over......... I missed it by a few seconds..

It is definitely a higher-quality box than a 777, which usually fetches 400-500 quid

Not bad at all , but 250 is way too much. Use to have 2 of them too. Traded em for other boomers. Now when i know you are looking for one will watch the sells around here. They pop up from time to time

I know that I'm coming in late, here....but, in the future, there's a site called auctionsniper.com.....it's invaluable. They are free for the first few snipes....and then they charge you a little fee for each one. You can program it to bid for you within seconds of the end of the auction.
