Hi, I'm trying to find a proper DC plug for my Panasonic RX-5250, I have a meanwell 12v at home, the polarity seems to be good. I'm having trouble to find a 13.2v plug, would it be safe to use this plug ? Thanks

Probably. But your boombox uses a reverse (non conventional) socket polarity in that the center pin is negative and outside barrel is positive. You absolutely want to test that power supply first because it is not indicated that I could see on the specs.

This is the polarity on the plug if I do understand correctly it's not the right polarity?

I found a 10v plug with the good polarity and it did work, but I guess 10v is kind of low, will try to find a new one thanks

If you compare that to the boombox, which has the same symbol next to the jack, the polarity is reversed. DO NOT plug that in, you'll probably blow the boombox or the power supply, or both.

You can still use it if you cut the wire near the end, and reverse the wires. And test before you plug it in. On your boombox, the center pin is (-). On your power supply, the center pin is (+). You need it to match the boombox.

You can also open up the boombox and reverse the connections to that jack, which is the more elegant solution and does not require cutting the supply cable of the power supply, but then the molded polarity indicators at the jack would be incorrect and a new or future use, or even yourself if you forget, might plug in an incompatible polarity supply and fry something.

Thank very helpful, good thing I didn't plug it lol, still on the hunt for a plug, if I don't find any I may reverse it. They are damn hard to find.
