I have another Hitachi 3D with CD Player and some more Models in my store room. They need to be cleaned and tested. will post pics soon. :-D

Oh Lordy, don't tell me you want the full 3D tour? There's around a couple of dozen different ones & at leat 4 with a CD...
I'm at work now so don't have the time to upload the pics. Badger me enough & I'll do it ASAP... :-)

I promised for about 2 years to actually take pics of all my 3Ds & post 'em on s2g, but I've never yet got around to it. I shall have to do better for you guys at Boomboxery... :-)

3d8 :w00t: a true blast from the past!! i never got to know the model name, i only knew it was a Hitachi with a 3d woofwer :thumbsup: Growing up in Yugoslavia, it was an privilege just to see it :)

but it's never too late to have a happy childhood, i will get one, eventually!

Man !!!!!!!.......... those are some awesome boxes, and all of them together make a great addition to a collection.

I'm holding out for the big badass "MASTER BLASTER" aka JC 2000,Helix wheely 5000,etc.
If anyone is selling a mint one please let me know................... PM me, Thanks

@sean 91: 3D80... nice - one of the best 3Ds for sure & yours is in tip top shape by the looks of it.

Feature count is as good as it got for the 3Ds: 5 band EQ, proper line-in, surround, flashing lights, twin decks, single-slider volume control, etc.
Perhaps surprisingly, the extra 6" woofer doesn't mean better bass performance over the 3Ds with the single 6" woofer (3D7, 3D8, 3D50, 3D60, etc.), because the amps are the same, just driving 2 speakers instead of one. They just don't move as much for the same bass output, so maybe they'd be less likely to get damaged.

Because of the way the 3Ds were made (all speakers at the front & all controls on the top) they're quite compact for such a loud box. Volume-wise this 3D isn't so far off the GF777 which is almost twice it's size. It's not as good for sound quality, sure, but as I keep banging on about, boomers weren't all about sounding like a hifi. IMHO, the boomer brief was impressive looks & loud... :-)

well thats my opinion anyway. mine wasnt particurly loud at all compared to the sharp, but the sound was very nice, especially for a portable radio :thumbsup:
