Do you know why President Mandela will be remembered as a great man and why the politicians in the USA (and elsewhere) are nothing but scum?

Because he worked hard for a better life for all people. He wasn't working for his constituents, corporations, religious selfishness or personal gain. He wanted a better life for his countrymen and women. All of them. He wasn't on the "Left" or the "Right" and he wasn't a hard lined jerk unwilling to bent even if it hurts people.

Sadly, I think men cut from this cloth are far and few between if not extinct all together.

Rest in peace Mr. Mandela. You were a great man.

In researching more information on Mandela on Wikipedia. I was very surprised to find that His Organization was labeled (by the South African Gov't. & the U.S.) as a militant terrorist organization. He was also tied to a Communist Group.

The ignorance of man has caused many good people to go unheard, it is only through their death that people realized the kind of person they were.

We have lost ourselves through this monetary system and the me factor. We must learn from these special people, try to make this world a better place to live. I always say man will eventually destroy himself, but if only we set our minds in the goodness of peace instead of hatred, envy, power and greed which only comes from evil and not by god, we may have a fighting chance.

Wishful thinking I guess, because money and power will always rule over us.
