restoration advice around moisture and silver

Hi there ! I'm on restoring a box, and I'm trying to remove moisture from silver parts, some are plastic silver and other are made of metal (don't know which one) anyway I managed to remove most of the moisture but some strong ones remains, I just used a brush (metal brush 000, as i'm doing for bikes) and some dish soap, but now, there is still some remaining spots and I don't know what to do, do u have some ideas about it ? here is some pictures of the damn moisture :

Try using a soap-pad!

thanks for the advice I get really good results with a starwax product combined with some miror and stronger metal brush, then some polishing with a softer metal brush ( again the 000 ) and my knobs are know really shiny a clean !!

I had no idea those marks could be removed!

I thought they were actually eatting away at the 'chrome'.

If in fact we are talking about the same thing.... the discoloration usually found on boxes from Hong Kong, etc.

The Sharp GF-508ST I just picked up today has this, and it came from Peppin originally about three years ago.

yep, this one came from japan, now there is still some little black spot after some work on it, but really small and not so many spots , i think it come from the fact that they belonged to people not so far away from the seaside (as in hong-kong or japan people use to be close to the seaside) so maybe the salt did some bad work..
