Repairing my JVC PC-5 refoam the speakers

Hi Everybody, just wanted to find "Michiel" He placed long time ago a very clear refoam on stereo2go.

I just ordered the parts, but I'm amazed how tough the speakers will open.
I'm afraid when I place there more force, the plastic will break.
Anyone has an idea, how to avoid breaking the plastic?

hi, ive done these and worried about snapping that plastic trim, they will pop out, just need to be firm with it

Hi Geoff, Just succeeded, indeed when you use a long screwdriver and push the part in the middle it will pop out.
