I believe this is my most Rare BBX. Just got this recently sadly I was not the only bidder so start price of $7.99 did not last long
Redbenjoe saw and listened to this last week. He said he has never seen a red one thinks mine may be only RED one a member has. The HITACHI TRK-6700H is a very rare 6 speaker (only mini with 3 way speaker system) SUPER MINI BOOMER. It came in a titanium color but I have a striking deeper RED almost burgundy that actually has a metallic mix but hard to catch in a photo see two up close photos. After days of searching not a single photo of this model in RED or on any forum in any color other than Titanium. It is one amazing sounding machine. Also appears in excellent very well kept unused condition and love the LED meter. The LED meter reads INPUT levels not output of amp. Nice feature especially when using AUX IN. For a small box this has ALL the Features of big boys even LOUDNESS switch! Check out the top controls and the WIDE STEREO really moves the sound outward and open big stage feeling. You DEFINITELY do not feel like listening to a small boomer. 20 x 6 x 4 inches. My new pride and joy................

Its been a Grand week... won two more boxes to be shown soon. Was in Orlando Sat. at Performance Racing Industries Trade show with my oldest son who is chief fabricator for http://www.speedsource.com Mazda's outsourced firm building the GT series racing cars (RX-8 Three Rotor Rotary) and the new just unveiled GX series racing Mazda 6 with a 400 + HP 4 cylinder Diesel sequential turbos running 50 PSI of boost! My son consults on design and welds/ assembles the frames and suspension and has done pit crew work. We stopped at a crazy discount new and used electronics like flea market thrift store place..My son loves to tinker with computers. He just finished a speaker upgrade to 3 way 6 speakers for my JVC-DC7 Handy boy :-D WOW old stuff, new and all in between.

Picked up TWENTY D batteries for $4.95 USD thats 25 cents EACH... Oh my god only had one box of D and C grabbed them both WHAT A BARGAIN !. And the expire date on batteries is not till next year!! ha ha no worries they WILL BE EXPIRED by next month grin :breakdance:

The RX-8 GT series car ( Sorry off topic but I love high performance cars as my son inherited the gene :-P ) AND HEY>> >> THE HITACHI IS A HIGH PERFORMANCE BOOMBOX !!! Grin :hoveround:

Since their introduction in 2007, the SpeedSource built cars have achieved every measure of success including 18 race wins, numerous pole positions and the 2010 Grand-Am GT Championship. Two of those race wins came at the grueling Rolex 24 hours at Daytona.

I had a red TRK-6700H I bought brand-new in 1985. I think I paid $100 for it from an electronics store in the big shopping mall (remember those?). Loved that box. I buy red whenever I can. :-D

Unfortunately the plastic became very brittle over the years and finally disintegrated about 5 years ago. It's long gone... Be careful with yours!
An old girlfriend left it in her car for an entire summer which melted the handle and cassette door cover. That probably contributed most to the brittleness.

Here's a scan of the original manual, which I still have: http://stuart5.com/Hitachi_TRK-6700H.pdf

Oh, and extremely cool your son is working for SpeedSource! I'm a huge Mazda rotary fan, and drive, what else, a red RX-8! Small world, huh?

Welcome to the Site REDBOX  Yes I think that sitting in a hot car all summer was the downfall. I actually have two now the second one the titanium color. Both of them thankfully the plastic is not brittle at all. When outside with them I dont let them sit in bright sun only shade

WOW the Scan is GREATLY appreciated. Love reading over those.

Yes SMALL WORLD IT IS you being a Mazda Rotary fan and race one. Actually my son drives a 04 Red RX-8 also and he races it sometimes. Here is link to him doing a bit of fishtailing on a hard corner. Love your Videos great to see thank you for sharing !! Some great driving.

Really proud of son Justin he is now on the main Mazda PIT CREW on #70 as one of the 4 Tech/ Mechanics and also is Chief welder for all 3 Mazda 6 Grand Am cars.
During race he handles changing Pass. tires and mech. work He even was in background for 26 seconds of fame on SpeedTV during Circuit of the Americas race in TX.
Some pics of him as Grand Am GX class Pit crew.
