I had a 93 GT with the 2.5L V6. Fortunately, this one is the 2.0L 4Cyl. and it is much easier to work on albeit 40 less HP and doesn't sound as sweet at the V6.
I need to replace the clutch now as it is starting to slip. This engine is rev happy. It doesn't start into the yellow until after 13,000 RPMs. 600's scream. Once I get the clutch to handle the power, I'll be able to rip it again.

Thanks brother. I appreciate it. I wish I had a garage. Until then, I continue to keep the paint waxed and wash with ceramic coating. That stuff is the bomb. Water rolls off of everything, even windows and windshield.Damn, my friend had a black 93 Probe GT.

One of the bikes I used to have. 1998 Kawasaki ZX-9. I paid £1200 for it. Probably my favourite, mostly because of how fast it was.

Nice thread! My 1983 Honda XL500R for sunny weekends. I’ve owned this one for 30 years already. The winter hobby is boomboxes and Walkmans. The summer hobby is various Honda XLs, the early '80s R and S versions with drum brakes.
I still have my 1983 CR-125, LOL, Been stored inside basement since I bought my house in 1993

Me too! Always dreamed of a street-legal CR-500 with road tires and road gearing. They exist here, but have become so terribly rare and unaffordable over the last 20 years. Just like the Yamaha RD500! I actually traded an 2-stroke RD350LC for this XL500R back in 1992. For my own safety

I almost bought a SV 1000 , has the same engine as the TL 1000 . These are not so rare ....

Those Yamaha RD-350's and 400's were great bikes, my brother had at least 3 or 4 of them in the late 70's, 1st the 350's, then the 400. Never had an RD-500 though. That was back in 1978 to like 1981, then he bought a brand new 1983 Honda CB750SS (Super Sport) in Silver and Blue, that thing was a rocket ship for it's day and he weighed all of 125 lbs back then. He drove it year round. He was in the Airforce stationed in Plattsburgh, NY near the Canadian border. He would drive it in the dead of winter back and forth to Peekskill, NY. He was a nut on that thing going down the NYS Thruway (87) at 5 degrees, the State Troopers caught up with him once, but let him go because he was in the Air Force. They never bothered him again. Back then, you could get away with stuff. They just told him keep it under 90 and we won't pull you over. It helped that my Uncle was a 1st Sergeant with Troopers, lol. Then years later in the 90's he bought a 2nd hand CB1100F, he still has it.
