just scored this (what i think to be quite rare) sanyo m w50k, never seen this model before it even has a mirco tape
it in ok condition under all the dirt and paint splats
the only thing missing is the metal trim that goes around the tape deck buttons, im never going to find an orignal trim but
ive seen people reproduce 777 stickers that go over the controls, could anyone make one here or know anyone that could,

The mini cassette is a nice touch as a memo taker or something but where are all the controls on this box? Are they tucked away under a lid on the top?

The lid on the top casing has certainly done a good job of keeping the area pristine, it looks very minty under there.

I have his brother, Fisher PH-M77, with the same issue,
this trim replica from aluminium was made by one of its previous owners.

That's mine:

Nah, unfortunately, I know only the previous owner but it was before him.

Nice find! The Sanyo is quite rare.
I would say the Fisher a.k.a is more common.
Especially here in the states.
Now you need the Aiwa CS W7E
Here is mine.

Well done Geoff! I have both the Sanyo MW 50K and the Fisher (also the Aiwa, but the latter needs repair) and love them all. I'd never seen the Fisher's twin, the WMR-CM. Thanks for sharing, Mystic T :-)

Always welcome, Sal.. :-)
Once I scored a WMR-CM in Japan, it was in rather a poor condition so I traded it for Fisher
with my my hobby mate who is a great Sanyo admirer, can't live without them.. :w00t:

so i thought id give the sanyo a belt change on both decks , as per normal main deck belt has turned to mush, a well built deck and i was surprised to find no flat belt only square, this is a keeper buy need to find space to put her, all it need now is the facia trim around deck buttons, does any one know anyone who can reproduce these

Jerry, didn't you ever record prank calls on an answering machine to play them back for your friends? The Aiwa is a great way to share them!
(That's all I got - I really can't think of any other reason  )

Edit: *Sanyo
